The role of volunteer firefighter is a rewarding and important job in our community.  We are always looking for committed individuals that are ready to join our team. 

Candidates must complete the application form (below), and be prepared to provide a criminal background check, drivers abstract and pass a physical fitness test.

As a member of Cross Roads Fire Department, you will receive training, skills and knowledge that can be used to assist your community and keep your neighbors safe.

First year recruits are required to undergo Level One fire training at the PEI Fire School.  The courses typically run in the winter months, two nights a week for about three months.  Following the classwork, you will engage in two or three weekends of fieldwork, with a written exam at the end.  Click to read the full job description.

Cross Roads Fire Department meets every Tuesday evening at 4 Georgetown Rd Road in Stratford, PEI.
